Atak supermarket chain supported the ACORT initiative on the introduction of special measures to freeze prices for socially important products

Member of the Retail Companies Association - ATAK supermarket chain joined the number ACORT member companies on the introduction of special measures. ATAK also committed to freeze basket prices for of not less than 20 socially important commodities for a period of two months.

Prior the retail chains MAGNIT, X5 RETAIL GROUP (Pyaterochka, Perekrestok, Karusel), AUCHAN, DIXY, METRO CASH & CARRY, LENTA, O'KEY, GLOBUS, BILLA, SELGROS, VESTER, INTERNET HYPERMARKET UTKONOS supported Association’s initiative. Each retail chain independently determined the composition of the basket of frozen prices, taking as a basis the list of socially important food products approved by the RF Government resolution No. 530 dated 15 July 2010.

ACORT members, who supported the initiative, believe that their actions will help to stabilize the food market situation in the interests of the public and confirm socially responsible position, which now occupy the leading market players, members of the Retail Companies Association, in the context of price volatility.

By fixing the price, retail chains do not allow increase of the retail prices, but will reduce prices in the event of a purchase price reduction.

ACORT encourages retailers of any formats to join the initiative. And counts on producers and suppliers support, constructive position of which will allow to combine efforts and get the most effect from the introduction of the special measures.
