Moscow government thanks Dixy for conscientious work
On the eve of the fiftieth anniversary of the Day of Retail Worker, DIXY’S Group team received a letter of gratitude from the Moscow Mayor “For conscientious operation for the benefit of residents and guests of the city.”
“It is a great honor for us to receive the gratitude and special recognition of our daily work from the Mayor of Moscow. Moscow and the Moscow Region are one of the key areas on DIXY’s map, with several hundred stores concentrated in the city. This is where we launched an extensive company development program in order to satisfy the expectations of Moscow residents to the fullest possible degree. So today we are increasing our assortment efficiency, upgrading product quality control system, working on shopping experience improvement,” says Pedro Pereira da Silva, President of DIXY Group.
The Group is represented in Moscow since 1999, when it opened the first neighborhood store. Today there are over 470 DIXY stores and thirty Victoria supermarket in the capital. Each of them helps to provide the residents with high-quality essential food products and creates jobs. Moscow stores and offices employ a total staff of over 12 thousand people. The company observes the RF Labor Code standards, provides comprehensive social protection and adequate wages. Besides, DIXY cares about the professional development of its employees, offering them all opportunities for advance training and career growth on the basis of the DIXY Academy in-house training center. It is attended on a weekly basis by approximately 700 employees.
DIXY Group stores actively participate in Moscow festivals. Victoria has supported the Fish Week and Moscow Jam municipal festivals for two consecutive years. Since February 2016, all Victoria stores in Mo successfully sell the Moskva cake, the recipe of which was developed upon the initiative of the Trade and Services Department of Moscow.
Also on the Day of Retail Worker, DIXY Group took part in the festive Race to Meet the Customer 2016. Employees from DIXY stores, offices, and distribution centers joined 2,500 representatives of retail chains operating in various formats and business areas to cover together the five-kilometer marathon distance towards new results and customers.
