Supplier’s Day will help to increase the competitiveness of Russian goods

On April 8, 2016, the Retail Companies Association (ACORT) and the Union of independent chains of Russia will hold in Cheboksary "Supplier’s Day: open dialogue" with the support of State Duma Committee of the Russian Federation on economic policy, innovative development and entrepreneurship.

The "Open dialogue" will be attended by the Chairman of the State Duma Committee Anatoly Aksakov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Victor Zvagelsky, the Head of the Chuvash Republic Mikhail Ignatiev, Director of the state regulation of domestic trade Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Pak, the Chairman of ACORT Presidium Ilya Lomakin-Rumyantsev, Director of the Union of independent chains of Russia Sergey Kuznetsov, representatives of federal and regional chains, and more than 40 producers of the republic.

Open dialogue is aimed at strengthening the partnership of participants of the consumer market and the development of the Russian commodity distribution infrastructure in terms of import substitution.

The main objectives of the event are the discussion of the best practices of cooperation of producers and retailers at all stages of products “life-cycle”: from production, including requirements of customers and retailers to the quality and branding of trade marks, to marketing and promotional campaigns across the country.

Within the Supplier’s Days participants will obtain the latest information on key issues of cooperation with retail chains: products quality control, requirements for transportation, storage, sales and utilization of food products in compliance with the legislation and internal regulations of retail chains.

Marketing directors of retail chains will tell about real opportunities of production development to a national scale, and also will provide practical recommendations on the organization of joint promotions, packaging design, use of advertising spaces in stores and the possibilities in production of privet label of the chains.

A separate section will be devoted to the counterparty selection procedure, recommendations for the correct execution of commercial proposals and the application of the Code of good practice (KDP) as an effective tool of self-regulation of the consumer market.

In addition to participating in the general sections, everyone will be able to receive individual consultations of the top category managers of retail chains such as Auchan Russia Retail, Lenta, Magnit, Smak, Metro and X5 Retail Group.

The event will be accompanied by the exhibition-sampling of the products of producers of the Chuvash Republic.
